Just remind me, reducing the wheelbase (ie moving the rear wheel towards the engine) that will make the bike more snappy in the way it turns yes? doesnt it give more grip too? what does everyone else do? Im thinking coz im heaveier that reducing it will help me slide the bike easier?

If you want the bike to slide easily and predictably then run the wheel as far to the rear as you can (lengthen the wheelbase). You can then move it forward in increments if you feel you need more grip. Running the wheel forward will also make the front lift more easily.
Personally I would suggest that riders at this level should not really be running their wheel any more than halfway forward and most should be running the bikes long all the time.

Hi Mike Rob says there are a number of things that will help you to slide easier not just the wheelbase although yes what you say will help. Have a chat with Russ Cookie or Rob on Sunday whoever has a minute I am sure they will help
